License Plate
Recognition (LPR) Technology
LPR is a unique Lane
Controller that contains Image
Sensor, Processor, LPRWare and Illuminator.
Through the license plates captured by its Image Sensor,
LPR can identify and analyze data of vehicles. Because
every vehicle has its unique license plate, so vehicle
owner doesn't need to use external cards, tags or
transmitters to identify the vehicle.
Zamir's LPR technology
is based on its unique software, LPRware, including
image capturing and image processing technology
developed by Zamir. Since 1993 Zamir has become one of
most famous License Plate Recognition System
manufacturer.
Procedure
-
When a vehicle approaches the field of Image
Sensor's view, it will be detected by Image Sensor.
Image Sensor will capture more than one image for
per vehicle to increase the recognition rate.
-
The image is processed by Processor which is built in
Lane Controller. The Processor captures license
plate image then separates and recognizes the
digits.
-
The license plate number, image and event
information are stored in the Lane Controller. The
Lane Controller also can send this information to
third party system and/or activate dry contact (for
barriers, alarms etc. ).

The license plate
number can transferred to a host system via standard
communication protocols (TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485 etc.). InSignia Console
is an management software developed by Zamir for access
control, security and recording applications. The
program contains parking lot and gate database,
authorization database, terms and limitations of
authorized users etc. (Contact us for more information).
The Zamir system has
multiple relays for ticket spitter, parking tower
control, under vehicle scanning, gate barrier,
signals and signs, and can send information of these
devices to InSignia Console.
